Movilidad final Erasmus+ 122: We are Eco-healthy (Somos Eco-saludables)

Our teachers, Maicu and Patricia, represented our school in a final mobility of our project "We are Eco-healthy" in Lappeeranta, Finland.

They were in Lappeen Koulu, a school in a city on the South west of Finland, next to the Saimaa lake, the biggest in the country, where they coud do a job-shadowing, observing other teachers' work for 4 days, from the 28th to the 31st October.

They were surprised by many things, as the amount of resources and the freedom of the children inside and outside the school. They learnt a lot about their educative system and their culture and they couldn't be any happier to have that incredible opportunity! 😍

Halloween in CEIP Los Morales

Once more, our school has overdone it and celebrated Halloween at its best! This time we even had a big poster to present our activities... 👻

Children from 5º and 6º rehearsed and acted in a Play "Room in the Broom" and several Halloween songs for the rest of the school; Pre-schoolers enjoyed a "Trick or Treat" with our language assistants and learned to dance "Thriller"; we decorated the classes, had a "Witch's hat Decoration Contest" and a Creative Writing contest, as well as enjoying a delicious "Terrific Breakfast" with their mates...

Everyone had a good time and could keep the children away from the awful news about the floods for a day 😓😢

Here you have some photos of the event and very soon we will publish our winners! Good luck! 🍀

Erasmus+ jobshadowing in Finland

Two teachers from our school, Patricia and Maicu, had the priviledge to visit Lappeen School in Lappeeranta, Finland, from the 28th to the 31st of October, within our Erasmus+ programme "We are Eco-healthy" (Somos Eco-saludables).

During those cold days they could know more about the Finnish Education System, considered one of the best in the world, learn new methodologies and use of resources, and also exchange culture and practise and update their English.

Here you can see a grasp of their trip, school materials and people they met. They will present their experiences to the resat of the teachers in our next claustro meeting... We are already so jealous! 😍

Erasmus+ diffusion Canva workshop: part 2

On Monday, the 21st October we carried out our second workshop to instruct teachers from our school in the use of Canva to make presentations and reels.

This was also part of what we learned in the first phase of our Erasmus project KA-210 Training Lab-Methods Integrated to teaching, in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, together with our associated schools in Italy and Turkey.

This time we had 8 more teachers and our dear school secretary, Isa, learning all the tricks about this useful digital tool to use in our classes, and in the school daily life in general. And of course, to make our work sweeter, we shared the typical pasteis de nata, typical from Portugal

Here you can see a few photos of them in action. They were so concentrated!

Erasmus + Visit from an Slovenian teacher

From the 14th to the 17th October, we received a special visit from an Slovenian Science teacher, Neja Trontel, who was enjoying an Erasmus+ jobshadowing mobility in our school.

She was very interested in our green garden, how we teach Science in English in our Bilingual Programme, in our Grow in Health Programme and in our Active Patios, the star project that teacher Rosa started last year.

It has been a very positive experience, motivating students to learn about Slovenia, arousing interest for their culture and language, as well as for teachers, sharing knowledge and experiences.

We are very happy to have been able to contribute to her instruction, to have another partner school (with an invitation to visit) in Europe and to keep on internationalising our school.

Nasvidenje! See you soon! Hasta luego!
